Project description

This project we designed are own documentary with the use of certain properties that we were taught, For example, full body, cut away and close up ext and then applying them to a finale project to display our learned skills.

The Principles of Design

The Principles of Design are basic tools of an artist.     

Pattern 
A regular arrangement of alternated or repeated elements (shapes, lines, colors)
or motifs 

Contrast
juxtaposition of different element of design (for example: rough and smooth textures, dark and light values) in order to highlight their difference and create visual interest or a focal point.

Emphasis
special attention\importance given to one part of the art.  Emphasis can be achieved through placement, contrast, color, size repetition.

Balance 
A feeling of balance result when the element of design are arranged symmetrically or symmetrically to create the impression of equality in weight or importance. 

Scale
The relationship between objects with respect to size, number, and so on, including the relation between parts of a whole.

Harmony
The arrangement of element to give the viewer the feeling that all the parts of the peace form a coherent whole.

Rhythm 
The use of recurring elements to direct the movement of the eye through the artwork.  the element are organized to to lead the eye to the focal ares.

The Elements Of Design

The elements of design are the raw material an artist - the visual components.

Color
Color depends on the light because it is made of light. there must be light for us to see color. A red shirt will not look red in the dark, where there is now light. the whiter the light the more true the colors will be. hue value and intensity are the three main characteristics of color.

Line 
Line is made be a pointed tool and is often defined as a moving dot.  It can vary in in width, direction curvature, length and even color. A line is created by the movement of a tool and pigment and often suggest movement in a drawing or painting.

Value 
Value refers to dark and light; the value scales refers to black and white with all gradations of gray in between. value contrast helps us to see and understand a two dimensional work of art. value is also evident in color, which enables us to read shapes in a painting. 

Texture 
Texture refers to the surface and defines if the art work is rough or smooth. 

Shape
Shape is area contained within lines and identified thorough color and value changes.

Form
Shape and form have simmer qualities except for two dimensional shapes. It describes mass and volume and basic shape.

Space
Space is an three dimensional volume that can be empty or filled with object. Space in a painting in an illusion that create a feeling of depth.

Picture
This project was designed to help show the use of the scale and proportion in a photoshop picture.  This project also help with our use of different tools and how to use them.  this project also was to demonstrate the use of the principle of design, mostly the use of perspective and scale in multiple object in a background.
